President Intervenes in Disciplinary Action Taken Against Eight (8) Students of Chiana Senior High School

Earlier yesterday January 12, 2023, the Management of Ghana Education Service issued a release to inform the general public of the dismissal of the eight students of Chiana Senior High School in the Upper East Region who insulted the President of the Republic of Ghana.

Some Stakeholders/Educationists in the Minority Caucus and the general public at large considered the decision of the Management of GES to be harsh and for that matter should be given a second thought.

The President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo in a release signed by Kwasi Kwaeteng, the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Education, has finally intervened in the subject after his attention was drawn to it.

As a reault of that, the Minister for Education, Hon. Yaw Osei Adutwum has directed the Ghana Education to consider an alternative disciplinary action instead of dismissal.
