The tenure of office of the Ghana Education Service Council is four (4) years, as stipulated in the Ghana Education Service Act, 2019 (Act 1023). This means that the members of the Council serve for a period of four years, after which their appointment may be renewed or terminated by the President of Ghana upon the recommendation of the Minister of Education.
