Video: Female Teacher in Hot Water for Allegedly Caning 13-Year-Old Pupil to Death - watch it here!

Agona Sweduro - In a distressing incident, a female teacher known as Madam Millicent finds herself in a precarious situation after caning a student, which tragically led to the child's demise. The incident occurred at Agona Sweduro, and the student later passed away at the Agona Sweduru Teaching Hospital due to severe pain and bleeding from the nose.

Kessben FM's reporter in the central region, Mireku Nyanpong, has provided confirmed information on this breaking news. The student, identified as Godfred Ankoma, reportedly informed the female teacher while being caned that the cane had struck his spinal cord. He requested that she switch to his palm instead. However, the teacher, who claimed to have thirty years of teaching experience, refused his request, stating that he had no right to dictate where he should be caned.

After reaching home, Godfred exhibited abnormal behavior but did not disclose the incident to his mother, who sensed that something was wrong with her child. Alarmed by her observations, she reported the unusual condition to Godfred's uncle. Upon further inquiry, the child revealed the details of the incident and showed his uncle the injury on his back.

Reacting promptly, the family rushed Godfred to the Agona Government Hospital, where, sadly, he succumbed to his injuries. In light of this tragic event, the school authorities have summoned the teacher and the family of the deceased for investigation and further proceedings.

This unfortunate incident serves as a reminder of the critical importance of maintaining a safe and nurturing environment within educational institutions. The responsibility to uphold the well-being and physical safety of students rests with the educators, and incidents like these demand thorough examination and appropriate action to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
