GES Directs Regional Directors to Submit 2026 Transfer Grants and Allowances Data

The Ghana Education Service (GES) Headquarters has officially opened the submission window for the 2026 Transfer Grants and other related allowances. In a memo released by the Human Resource Management Division (HRMD), Management indicated that these payments are part of the annual budget implementation intended for qualified staff.

The directive, signed by Angela Frimpomaa Nkansah (MS), Director of HRMD, specifically targets Regional Directors and Metro, Municipal, and District Education (MMDE) offices.

The submission process covers transfer grants and other allowances, notably including overtime allowances for watchmen and security personnel.

  • Eligibility Period: The data collection focuses on staff who qualified for transfer grants between September 2025 and March 2026.
  • Verification Process: To ensure transparency, every MMDE is required to set up a verification committee. This committee, chaired by the District Director, must include:
    • The HR Officer
    • The Budget Officer
    • The Internal Auditor
    • The Accountant

This team is responsible for verifying and approving the list of beneficiaries and their supporting documents before any data is uploaded.

The GES has transitioned to a digital submission format to streamline the process. Committees are instructed to follow these steps:

  1. Individual Applications: Access the portal via the provided official link to fill out forms and upload supporting documents for each individual applicant.
  2. Summary Sheets: Once individual data is captured, committees must submit overall summary sheets through a separate dedicated link.
  3. Authentication: Users must sign in using a Gmail account to access the submission forms.

The GES has set a firm deadline for all submissions. All data must be compiled, verified, and submitted no later than Friday, 24th April, 2026.

Regional Directors have been urged to bring this notice to the immediate attention of all MMDEs to ensure that no qualified staff member is left out of the 2026 budget implementation.
