BECE 2025 Placement Released: Here's What You Need to Know

The much-anticipated 2025 BECE placement results have been officially released by the Ghana Education Service (GES). A total of 603,328 candidates sat for this year's Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), with 590,309 qualifying for placement into Senior High Schools (SHS), Senior High Technical Schools (SHTS), and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions.

The placement went live on 17th September, 2025 at 8:00 p.m. Congratulations to all students!

How to Check Your School Placement

Checking your placement is free. Follow these simple steps:

 * Visit the official portal at https://www.cssps.gov.gh/hub/login.

 * Enter your 10-digit BECE Index Number followed by the last two digits of the exam year (e.g., 100000000025).

 * Your Date of Birth is optional but can be used.

 * Click Sign In to view and print your placement slip.

Key Placement Statistics

 * 483,800 students (82%) were successfully placed.

 * Of those placed, 248,038 were girls (51.4%) and 234,783 were boys (48.6%).

 * 107,509 students (18%) were not matched to their initial choices and are eligible for Self-placement.

Placement Coverage and Reporting

This year's placement covers 724 Public SHSs/SHTSs, 233 Technical and Vocational Institutions (TVET), and 70 Private SHSs.

All placed students, including those with automatic and self-placement, must report to their schools on 18th October, 2025.

Support for Parents and Students

To assist parents and students, the GES has set up Resolution Centres at the District, Regional, and National levels. At these centers, District and Regional PROs, Examination Officers, and Free SHS Coordinators are available to offer support. The National Centre is located at GNAT Hall, Accra. Additionally, GES/TVET offices nationwide are available for assistance.

Placement is FREE!

The GES urges everyone not to pay anyone for placement. If you are solicited for money, report it immediately to the nearest police station or the Office of the Special Prosecutor.
