CAGD Reveals Why Two Key Allowances Were Pulled from November Paycheck

The Controller and Accountant-General’s Department (CAGD) has announced a delay in the payment of two specific categories of allowances for its employees, with a particular impact on workers in the education sector.

In a press release dated November 25, 2025, the CAGD informed all stakeholders that the two categories of allowances scheduled for payment in the November 2025 payroll could not be processed due to a "technical hitch encountered during the final payroll run."

To prevent any further complications or delays to the main salary payments, the CAGD stated it was compelled to temporarily pause the processing of these specific allowances.

The department has, however, assured affected workers that the issue is currently being resolved. The outstanding allowances will be paid together with the December 2025 salaries on December 18, 2025.
